Impressive sculptural planter in glazed ceramic, cylindrical in form with pierced vertical oval openings, resting on a circular base. The thick-walled body has a strong architectural and totemic presence, enhanced by its bold openwork design.
The surface is finished with a textured glaze in natural tones, ranging from deep browns to light beige, with intentionally irregular effects that emphasize the raw, organic character of the piece.
Although unsigned, the work can be stylistically compared to the production of Belgian ceramist Bart Maréchal, active during the 1970s and known for his explorations of sculptural volumes and mineral glazes.
