This piece is the epitome of class! This 1920’s Sphinx statue came out of a theatre in LaPorte, IN that closed in 1972. It was created during the Moorish Revival, a movement that blossomed after the discovery of King Tut’s tomb in Egypt. This piece is based heavily on Egyptian culture, with a somewhat Victorian flair. This sphinx is made of plaster, Painted with a rich, antique brown shade and highlighted in gold. It is mounted on a slab of gray marble with blue and green flecks. This incredibly rare and historical piece is just waiting to be a beautiful conversation piece in your home! Make it yours today!
