I have seen these described as benches, tables, lounges, and I suppose any of these could be true.

I have kept the piece exactly how I bought it to ensure integrity of the wood and sturdiness, BUT, THE UNIQUE PART (that has been removed by most) IS THAT IT STILL MAINTAINS THE ORIGIBAL FOOTHOLD/FOOTREST FEATURE. I think that makes the trestle eleme t twice as useful! Finish it your way or keep it as- is, but it will be a beautiful addition to any kitchen, bedroom, living room.... See less
