Dramatic Mid-Century Modern oil on canvas portrait painting in the Italian school style of a lady. Painted in the romantic realism or modernist portrait style. The painting has a dreamy quality with amazing shadow detail and brushwork. Set in an intentionally distressed, painted wood frame that has been partially sanded and stripped with parcel gilt accents. Unsigned from an estate in San Francisco, California. Minor wear and craquelure finish commensurating age and use with losses. Sight measures 24 wide by 30 inches high.
