Yellow lacquered wood wall-mounted coat rack, anonymous work likely directed by Le Corbusier, circa 1952
It consists of six wooden pegs, carved into solid hooks and attached to a rectangular yellow lacquered wood board. Simple and functional, this model is typical of the designs for the Cité Radieuse in Marseille in the early 1950s.
with its simple, robust, and colorful design, it illustrates the modernist desire to integrate practical and standardized elements into daily life, in keeping with the architectural project of the Unité d'Habitation.
