The Punter family workshop—renowned across five generations—played a central role in the 20th-century revival of Mudéjar-inspired ceramics, translating medieval motifs into a vivid, modern painterly language.

The wheel-thrown base swells into a rounded body before tapering to a slender neck, finished in a creamy white tin glaze. Over this surface, hand-painted decoration in the signature green and manganese-black palette unfolds across framed panels: a heraldic lion, a stylized bird, and geometric devices rendered in confident black linework. A frieze of pinecone medallions, symbolizing vitality and abundance, encircles the base. Painted entirely freehand, these motifs embody the expressive revival style pioneered by Domingo Punter and his contemporaries.
