Three 18th-century gilded candlesticks on red processional staffs, each with an octagonal cross-section, are joined by a central pivot to form a very tall wall sconce. The three torches rest against the wall and are set apart from it at the top, where a lamp holder powered by an external electrical cord is attached.
Original 18th-century pieces carved with acanthus leaves and plant motifs, these Louis XVI wall lights are an exclusive and unique creation by an Italian craftsman.
The gilded parts are made of fine gold and feature panels decorated with red and green aniline. They are in good overall condition, consistent with their age and wear. The electrical system is not working. They come from a private villa in Milan.
