Marie de Lignerolles is a French artist, designer and colourist whose work emphasizes line drawing and the use of colour.
She develops an artistic approach where colour is used as a starting point to define the design and dimension in her creations.
Following her education, she embarked on a professional journey working in various creative studios, including the famous fashion house Hermès. Her background in applied arts and her experience in different creative environments and prestigious brands significantly contribute to her expertise and the unique perspective she brings to her work.
This new series explores the transition from figuration to abstraction, taking inspiration from the simple, everyday forms found in the work of artist Giorgio Morandi. By reinterpreting familiar objects, the artist deconstructs their tangible reality, inviting viewers to see beyond the ordinary and into a more abstract, essential representation of form and space.
