A framed quilt created with textiles from the 1930s-1940s. Lovely textures and colors and most importantly, a perfectly Americana Modernism piece for wall display as art. Stretched on a wood frame and strung with hanging wire en verso for display upon receipt.
We are in love with stretched quilts so that they can be viewed in their full glory. They're wonderful on beds, but even better when they give a cozy feel and their amazing craftsmanship can be appreciated on a daily basis. This piece is so graphic and striking with its repetitive pattern, yet each diamond shape is unique. We have found ourselves entranced with this piece as much as we would with a modern abstract piece of art, which is exactly analogous.
