The chairs feature solid beech carved frames … Read more Stylish set of eight lacquered neoclassical klismos dining armchairs attributed to Michael Taylor. The chairs feature solid beech carved frames with a klismos style tablet back and wide, flat arms measuring 26 inches high. The generous seat is fitted with a black leather covered seat cushion. The chairs are finished in an earthy mushroom color lacquer finish with dramatic black leather seats. The frames have a neoclassical silhouette with gently curved back and saber legs. The chairs are sturdy and strong with excellent joinery and craftsmanship. The lacquer finish has an aged patina to commensurate age and use. Sold as a set of eight. Known as Michael Taylor "White" armchairs. The chairs are unmarked and probably have been re-upholstered in the past.
