Detailed 19th-century painting with a carriage pulled by a unicorn hitch formation. A man steers the startled horses with a woman in the cart holding an umbrella over her head. The horses appear to be spooked by lighting that is striking in the distance. In order to restore the painting the original work was glued onto a piece of masonite. The work is in the style of French artists Théodore Géricault and Eugène Delacroix. The board is framed in a wooden frame with gold trimming.
