As an artisan herself, Judith collected and greatly admired the pottery of the Pueblos near her Santa Fe studio. Here, the geometric designs of several large ollas in her collection are arranged into a modern still life.
This work is a gallery-wrapped canvas; no frame is necessary. The border of the painting is textured with sand from the New Mexico desert, and this border extends around the sides.
