Hand forged and hammered with hobnail design on the bowl. I believe it is made of bronze possible Japanese from the Meiji period. It has a beautiful rich patina. Standing at 19 inches tall, it is an impressive size and proportion. There are no maker marks on the bottom. It has a couple dents on the rounded bowl area consistent with the age of the piece. However, these few indentations do not detract from the attractive appearance of the urn. The base is solid and well balanced. it would be an impressive flower vase or umbrella stand. See less
