What a spectacular Arts and Crafts South American piece. It is an antique Yerba Mate Gourd Calabash Cup and double marked on the bottom. Traditionally used for drinking an infusion of leaves of the yerba mate herb. I would repurpose this beauti as a small vase as a center piece. A work of art indeed. Made in the 1870 to 1890 period.
