These cast brass sconces have twisted arms and a looped ribbon top that drape down to two detailed tassels. The round escutcheon has a cross hatch pattern surrounded in a pie edge. Notice the rosette at the top of the loop. So beautiful these sconces are!

Can you imagine how many people have walked past these gorgeous sconces? Famous persons making their way down the hallways going to something fabulous like dinner and a show or coming back after a long day of shopping or performing, depending.

Pair them with a mirror as we have or put them down the hallway to illuminate the dark hallway as they did in the Netflix program The Crown in season 3 episode 7 at about 11 minutes in. Now mind you, ours have a round escutcheon and are 3 armed, but the time period and manufacturer are the same. Think about how famous these things are and we have more than one pair for you and they will be in tip top working order.

WALDORF ASTORIA NYC
The Waldorf Astoria opened it doors in 1931. Since then every living president has stayed in this hotel. Rock stars, movie stars, royalty, and everyone else in the jet set lifestyle has stayed within those famous walls. When the hotel was originally built, it was the tallest hotel in the world and boasted 1417 rooms. The largest suite in the hotel was lived in by Cole Porter. Once Cole Porter passed away Nancy and Frank Sinatra lived there. None other than The Who was banned for life for their ruckus behaviour, but reinstated once the Waldorf was hosting the Rock N Roll hall of fame induction ceremony and The Who was being inducted. Talk about a thumbing of the nose!
