All you need for this mobile to work in your space is 4 foot clearance from the ceiling as that is the distance it hangs when assembled. Then of course you won’t what it to hang too low so when considering how it might work for you, consider how low it can hang.

Naturally, if your ceiling height is for example 10 feet high. Then the mobile will hang from a wire to the desired height. Now in terms of distance you need for width. Once the mobile is hanging the way we recommend you’ll need 6 feet of a spread.

The mobile actually comes to 9 feet wide as shown in one of the photos. But, we don’t recommend you hang it that way. And because of the way the mobile is constructed, it between the way it’s hooked (because it comes with 10 arms that have 11 pods) on them that hook together with eyelets that pretty much make it so that once it’s connected together, the mobile really doesn’t spin fully. Rather it moves around, but not 360 degrees.

The mobile comes with complete directions for an easy 1-2-3 installation. And if you aren’t overwhelmed by now, and without confusing you, there are 10 sections and 11 pods and arms in total that make up this amazing and powerful art statement.
