Set of Four Framed “Putti” Etchings After François Boucher – Allegories of the Four Elements, Engraved by Jean Daullé
A charming and rare complete set of four reproduced 18th-century etchings. depicting allegorical scenes of the Four Classical Elements—Air, Earth, Fire, and Water—through playful putti (cherubic figures), after original designs by celebrated French Rococo master François Boucher (1703–1770). These reproductive engravings were originally executed by Jean Daullé (1703–1763), "Graveur du Roi" (Engraver to the King), around 1750–1755.
Each etching measures approximately 12" W x 15" H (image size with frame approx. 13" W x 15¼" H x 1¼" D) and is presented in an elegant gilt wood Belle Époque frame, featuring classic matted borders and finely carved detailing evocative of late 19th to early 20th-century French interiors.
