The piece features a modernist-inspired design with geometric resin elements. The three large, rounded donut beads are slightly domed and have a textured surface. The color scheme boasts a stunning pale ivory tone, reminiscent of travertine stone, which was very popular during the Modernist period. It is in contrast with tiny carved brown spacer beads. Her color matching is always extremely classy, perfect for casual and fancy occasions.
As you know, Caputi jewelry is usually not signed. This pre-owned necklace has no original label, but it features the brand's signature two-ring closing clasp. Surprisingly, each main element has a carved signature on the underside.
Angela Caputi has produced resin and lucite jewelry collections in Florence, Italy, since the 1980s. Some of her pieces are at the Metropolitan Museum in New York.
