Large bronze sculpture with a brown patina, depicting a nude woman seated in an armchair, a pencil in one hand, a vase in the other, and surrounded by antique objects.
Signature of the artist GB Amendola in an amphora on the back of the armchair.
Giovanni Battista Amendola (1848-1887) was an Italian artist; despite brilliant studies with great Italian artists and his presence at the Paris Universal Exhibition of 1878 and 1880, among others, his career was cut short due to illness.
Good overall condition, some wear from use.
