This piece features a square walnut top with bowed edges, framed inlay, and a distinctive cross-stretcher base. Finished in Umber, a factory tone developed during Nakashima’s tenure with Widdicomb, this table reflects the warm minimalism and quiet structure found in his studio and licensed works.

Marked with the Widdicomb Grand Rapids label, dated 3/60, and model number 3430. While not part of the documented Origins line, the construction, finish, and form share strong alignment with Nakashima’s aesthetic and have led many collectors and dealers to attribute this model to him.

This piece pairs beautifully with mid-century modern, organic modern, Japandi, brutalist, Scandinavian, Shaker-inspired, and California casual interiors. Sits well alongside Nakashima, Dunbar, Knoll, Edward Wormley, Robsjohn-Gibbings, and studio-made post-war designs.
