Acquired by grandparents for their mid-century modern home in West Texas - they traveled the world and acquired items like these from their travels. They are produced by Baker Furniture, Inc in Michigan, but were created from a walnut tree found in France. Picture provided in pamphlet with original signature from Mr. Hollis Baker certifying limited edition status (1 or 38). All 38 were produced from the same tree.
