The lamp is in … Read more Here is a lovely, table lamp made in Japan in the later mid-century, likely the 1960's. The lamp is in a ginger jar shape with beautifully hand-painted Imari details - you can see cherry blossoms, a bonsai tree, floral designs and Asian motifs throughout, with gold details. Each side of the lamp gives you a new and pretty scene. The ginger jar is mounted on a carved wood base. It takes a standard bulb and on/off at the socket. The lamp is currently fitted with a shade that mounts on the bulb. I think they look great together, so I have listed exactly as is. However, there are mounts for a harp should you choose to change the shade. This is a perfect size for a desk or reading area.
