A large and impressive pair of Italian parcel-gilt and painted pricket candlesticks, late 18th–early 19th century. Each pricket features foliate-carved stems rising to circular drip pans with original iron spikes, supported on tripartite bases with boldly carved paw feet. Retaining traces of original gilding and polychrome, with expected age-related wear that enhances their patina.
