Hansson & Co. in Malmö during the … Read more A rare modernist table lamp, model 568, produced by the Swedish manufacturer E. Hansson & Co. in Malmö during the 1940s. The lamp features a beautifully perforated, disc-shaped brass shade supported by an elegant walnut pillar on a circular brass base. An integrated switch is set into the foot, complemented by a new black-and-white textile cord. The shade can be tilted, allowing the light to be directed as desired—both functional and atmospheric. Marked with the manufacturer’s hallmark and model number on the underside, this lamp is a fine example of Scandinavian modernism with both rarity and character. This piece has an attribution mark,
