Each pillar has lovely trailing vines with flowers and fruit, and there are little butterflies and tiny bugs painted on. A rare and real conversation piece. From my research, there seem to be few in circulation. There are no identifying marks visible, but it appears to be Meissen from what information is available online. See less

The porcelain pillars are intact with no breaks or chips that I can see. The shelf is heavy and very sturdy. There are metal rods that are threaded through the porcelain pillars, and they cannot be taken apart. The pillars might wiggle a little, but trust me, they are not going anywhere! As you can see, there is an old repair on one side of the very top in the wood, this is quite sound. There is also a split in the wood in the back, but someone reinforced it, and it is also solid. less
