Made in England in the 1950s, the cup holds approximately 5 ounces and measures 2-3/8" high by 3-1/2" rim diameter. The matching saucer is 5-5/8" in diameter.

The design includes a white ground with raised pink polka dots and a coordinating rim and handle.

Condition: There are some glaze imperfections, as pointed out with arrows in the photos. Inside the cup are pinhead size paint spots under the glaze. On the handle is a dark spot under the glaze, most likely a popped glaze bubble during the firing process. Otherwise, this set is in good, clean condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs.

Shelley teacups are highly collectible for their fine bone china quality, delicate designs, and unique shapes. The dainty shape, with its petal-shaped sides, make this an enjoyable cup for sipping hot tea.
