I have seen hundreds of 18th Century Battersea Enamel Patch Boxes, but this is the first time I have seen this RARE Marriage Box. On the top a Bride & Groom are standing in front of a Clergy Man. In the background are the Ten Commandants. It reads, “ The Single Married, The Married Happy”. Bright vibrant colors. The base is Cobalt Blue.
Very good hinges, Open and closes well. Very good condition for its age.
Measures approximately, 1 ¾” x 1 ¼” x ¾”. Pictured next to a quarter coin for scale.
