A charming vintage decorative trinket box from Beijing, featuring a hand-painted ceramic lid with a colorful butterfly motif in vibrant blue, yellow, and green. The sides are finished in ornate silver tone metal with floral and geometric embossed details. Interior is plain silver tone. Retains original paper label reading “MADE IN BEIJING.”
This piece likely dates to the mid-20th century and was produced for export. Perfect as a jewelry holder, vanity accessory, or decorative accent for a chinoiserie or eclectic interior.
Condition: Good vintage condition. Tarnish and patina present on silver tone metal consistent with age. Small glaze imperfections on ceramic lid typical of hand painting.
