Pierre Ernest Ballue (1855–1928) was a French painter specializing in landscapes. Originally from Touraine, he was influenced by masters such as Corot and painted natural scenes of Crozant, Fresselines, the Côte d'Azur, and his native region. He exhibited regularly at the Salon des Artistes Français, receiving several awards. Married to Thérèse Pomey, a miniature artist, he is also the father of Jeanne Goupille, a resistance fighter honored as Righteous Among the Nations. His poetic and luminous work is still exhibited in several French museums.
