Set of 4, Signed Collection, Sizes are 88 x 57 cm each.
- Gouache and material mix collage. Handmade paper, book cover, color and glass. Turkish writings on glass are called “Under glass” technique.
- The writings were taken from Murat Morova's diary.
The bottom of the text can be recognized shaded on the paper.
- Murat Morova was born in Istanbul in 1954. Morova graduated from Marmara University Faculty of Fine Arts and participated in many exhibitions.
- A few examples: “Beyond the Figure” exhibition in 1987 and his solo exhibition ‘A Season in Hell’ in 1989. Morova has held many successful exhibitions. Germany, Italy, Denmark, France, Japan, Argentina and Greece. In 2012, Murat Morova held his exhibition at the Louis Vuitton Foundation in Paris titled “Journeys: Walking in Contemporary Turkey”.
- Recurring themes in his works are: the oriental-western world, the (love) relationships between the inner and outer nature of the individual (mysticism, tradition, body and Islam).
- Morova likes to use non-traditional materials that can be trash. For example nylon, tar and fiberglass. Murat Morova is also one of the most respected Turkish human rights activists.
