The art of hand forging, sadly lost today to mainstream production of furniture. This vintage bed by Claudio Rayes is 100% hand forged; the entire process down to the hammering of the iron as it cools. See least photo of the small boutique company, no longer making their special beds. The color is a deep warm gold, the tone will change predicated on the brightness of the room it is in. The 2 photos before the rod photos show the difference, with the darker gold being indoors and the lighter outdoors. In excellent condition. Missing 1 smaller than golfball size finial type nut that connects the side rails to the head and footboards. A generic large nut was used on the headboard side so it was against the wall w/zero visibility.
