The veneered frame features a hinged, glazed … Read more A beautiful birch octagonal vitrine table with mahogany cross banding and ebony stringing. The veneered frame features a hinged, glazed lid with mahogany crossbanding opening to a blue, velvet-lined interior with gimp trim. The conforming apron is inlaid with a thin band of contrasting chevrons along the bottom edge and the table rises on square, tapered legs with ebony stringing. The legs are joined by cross-stretchers and they are further embellished with applied, ankle moldings. There is a paper label on the underside of the top appearing to read ‘K912-1 Medagliere’. This is shown in one of the photographs.
I am not certain of the age but I believe it to be from the early 1920's / 1930's.

The condition is overall good, with minor surface wear; retains interior lock plate; but no key. See less
