Amazing all original, except the wiring, 1950's extra large George Nelson round Bubble Light. The patina on this mid century hanging light chandelier could only come from a light that is 70+ years old. This amazing gem was removed from the original 1950's house where it hung for 70+ years. With this fact and the patina, I am dating this as an early production from the 1950's, but am unable to verify exact date. There is no label attached, but I guarantee this light to be an original vintage mid century George Nelson Bubble light produced by Herman / Howard Miller circa 1950's/1960's.
This light was the largest round model ever produced and with the deep rich patina, emits a warm translucent glow the newer lights could never match. Perfect for a purist collector!

Measured 83" circumference (which converts to 26.41" diameter, but when I measure side to side, I get closer to 25- 25.5")
The chain and cord drop adds approximately 4.75" to the height

Original shade with no holes or tears. The shade surface is variegated with some dark marks and color variations. When lit, these variations become less noticeable. The metal has rust/ heavy patina from the salt air in Virginia Beach. Please see close-up photos. Currently in working order and was rewired at some point during its life, as it does not have the original white cord as seen in online vintage catalog photos. This amazing survivor is exactly how I purchased it (I only wiped the outside with water to clean some of the dust)
