Omega ceiling light, designed by Vico Magistretti for Artemide between the late 1960s and 1970s.
Made of opaline blown glass with a spherical internal diffuser, the Omega provides a warm, soft, and uniform light.
The structure is made of matte nickel-plated brass. The ceiling plate is painted with white enamel.
The lamp is unbranded, a common feature of early Artemide production. It is in excellent condition, with minor signs of use only on the back of the metal plate. It requires an E27 bulb (not included).
Note: Artemide, founded in Milan in 1960 by Ernesto Gismondi and Sergio Mazza, has become an international reference for designer lighting over the years, collaborating with great masters such as Magistretti, Gae Aulenti, Richard Sapper, and Ettore Sottsass. The Omega is one of the finest examples of that golden age.
