Signed by Bordallo Pinheiro, a renowned Portuguese brand specializing in high-quality ceramics such as cabbage leaves, animals and unique figurines. This hen and rooster couple show a familiar rapport, and expressive posses. She has her head cocked to the side, as if listening, and her feet planted firmly on the ground. The rooster, on the other hand, is alert and tense with his beak opened and his legs and feet positioned to pounce forward. When you see these figurines you can imagine a number of different scenarios. The rooster stands 21 inches high and the hen is 15 inches tall. Together they make a terrific focal point if placed on a dining room table, side board, patio or wherever you want to make an interesting statement. The proportions are complimentary and the colors are very subtle and warm. I always loved them because you know something is going on, but it is not "too serious". See less
