It has … Read more This is a beautiful lamp reminiscent of the 1950's but is much newer (probably late mid century) vintage). It has multiple adjustment points, and the bottom of the lamp rod even moves on a ball-and-swivel joint. Each adjustment point can be easily tightened using the decorative industrial style "wing-nut" looking screws. Standing staight up, it measures about 17" tall. With all the adjustments, in conjunction with the very heavy base, it can adjust and extend quite far in any direction, and get down unbelievably close to even the table level.

The heavy base measures 5" in diameter, as does the metal shade/hood. It has an inline roll-switch, as you can see from the photos. The switch and the light mechanism work just as they should.

The lamp can use up to 25 Watts (maximum) due to heat constraints. But even an 8 Watt LED bulb provides the equivalent amount of light (in lumens) as a 100 Watt bulb, so you can get a huge amount of light out of this desk lamp by using an LED bulb (which, of course, is available at your local Walmart, hardware store, etc.).

The black metal is in absolutely wonderful condition, with just a few tiny scratches (patina) here and there. With the large wingnut style screws used in the lamp, it has both an industrial as well as mid century style look to it.

It has a 6 foot long electric cord that is in excellent condition. The bottom is covered in soft felt so that it will not scratch wood furniture. See less
