Beethoven (1770 - 1827) was a German composer and pianist who is one of the most revered figures in the history of Western music. Finely sculpted details show his characteristic musing expression and his unruly mane. The same attention is given to his clothes, showing the folds of fabric as though in natural movement. A wonderful example of the cold patina style. Signed on the back. The simple coloring has aged wonderfully, giving a time worn crunchy authentic surface.
