Elegant azucena lp5 wall sconce, designed by ignazio gardella in the 1950s. The glass diffuser features a refined vertical finish that enhances the light, while the brass and dark metal structure demonstrates the quality and elegance typical of italian design of the time. The azucena brand is engraved on the triangular mounting plate.
the sconce is in excellent condition, with normal signs of age. It uses an e27 bulb (not included) and retains its original electrical wiring.
historical note: founded in 1947 by luigi caccia dominioni, ignazio gardella, and corrado corradi dell’acqua, azucena was one of the most important names in post-war italian design, renowned for its elegant lines and refined use of materials such as brass and glass. Azucena lamps are highly sought-after by international collectors.
