Artwork sold with frame (64 x 81 x 5 cm) Henri Duvoisin (1877–1959) was a Swiss painter born in Geneva, celebrated for his still life paintings, landscapes, and urban scenes. He studied at the School of Industrial Arts and municipal art schools in Geneva, where he received training under artists such as Pignolat, Bodmer, and Gaud. Additionally, he is believed to have studied with Camille Pissarro, although this information is not confirmed in the available sources. Throughout his career, Duvoisin distinguished himself by capturing the essence of everyday life and the urban landscapes of Geneva. His works include portraits, still lifes, and views of Lake Geneva, as well as scenes of the city and its surroundings. His style reflects a deep appreciation for light and color, characteristics of Impressionism. Some of his works have been acquired by private collectors and are held in art galleries, such as the Galerie des Annonciades in Geneva. Duvoisin also ventured into artistic ceramics, creating a rare piece in the Art Nouveau style: a decorative dish signed and dated 1892, likely made during his training at the School of Industrial Arts in Geneva. This unique dish showcases his early engagement with decorative arts. He passed away in Geneva on September 6, 1959, leaving behind an artistic legacy that continues to be appreciated for its contribution to Swiss art in the 20th century. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
