Unmarked, the set features elegant white porcelain with classical gilded decoration.

A veilleuse served as both a night light and tea warmer, making it a multifunctional piece in 19th-century homes. The small teapot sits atop a reservoir that once held a candle, keeping the tea warm while providing a gentle glow.

This complete set consists of:
Base warmer/candle holder
Middle reservoir section
Teapot with lid (capacity: about one cup)

Dimensions: Entire piece measures 6-1/2" tall (including the pot).

Condition:
Gilding is rubbed and worn in several areas.
NOTE: Although this set appears cream colored in some photos, it is WHITE with gold accent.

There is a 1/4" crack at the base, shown clearly in photos. This does not affect the function of the piece.
Otherwise intact, with no repairs.

Despite its age and wear, this tisanière veilleuse remains a beautiful and functional piece of porcelain history. It can be used decoratively as a night light, or displayed as part of a collection of Old Paris / French Empire porcelain.
