The Blackstone Calypso card game is based on Calypso, a partnership trick-taking card game invented by Trinidadian R. W. Willis around 1953. British bridge player Kenneth Konstam met Willis in 1953 and helped him develop and simplify the rules, resulting in a game that combined elements of Bridge and Canasta with a unique trump system where each player is assigned a suit. Calypso is a partnership trick-taking game for four players, where the primary objective is to build 13-card sequences called "calypsos". The Arrco Playing Card Co. released a popular version in the United States in 1955, which is known today as the Blackstone Calypso game.
This is a rare collectible, vintage complete package with the cards still in their original cellophane.
