The last of the California series, painted around 1990 (we think) it is the last of the artist's "California Series."

In the style of the post-impressionist, the paint is thick and the brush strokes are obvious. Deep contrast illustrates the rough cragginess of the rocks. The greens of the waters are painted in such a way as to suggest transparency. Waves crashing against rock are painted in bright whites, tinged with pinks, blues and greens.

Raging Night Surf was painted on a 30" x 36" canvas and measures 36" x 43" with frame. The frame is also vintage, its canvas lining complimenting the painting very nicely.
