Fashion drawing in felt-tipped pen, Michel Goma, 1980s
Michel Goma (1932–2022), born in Moncrabeau, was a French famous couturier. His talent was soon spotted by Christian Dior, and he began at Jeanne Lafaurie before succeeding Karl Lagerfeld as head designer at Jean Patou (1964–1974), where Jean-Paul Gaultier worked as his assistant. In the 1970s, he launched his own label and collaborated with Japan, later directing Balenciaga’s ready-to-wear lines (1987–1992) with the “Le Dix” collection. He passed away in 2022 at the age of 90.
