It was created in 1904 and is part of dining room no. 306. Individual pieces from this room—the buffet no. 3120, the grandfather clock no. 3124, and the armchair no. 330—were presented as part of Kohn's exhibition at the 1904 World's Fair in Saint Louis, which also included works by Gustav Siegel, Otto Wagner, and Koloman Moser. This presentation impressively illustrates the close collaboration between these key figures of Viennese Modernism.
