The rare two-seater sofa with fold-out function. It was manufactured in Germany during the 1970s. The design reflects the aesthetics of Brutalist style – a style that emerged in the mid-20th century and continues to captivate today with its austerity, monumentality, and authentic materials. Characteristic, massive proportions, expressive geometry, and the use of natural, refined leather create a piece that is not merely a place to relax, but also a sculptural object in the interior. The austere form contrasts with the softness of the upholstery, while the solid construction emphasizes the durability and timeless character of the design. The soft natural leather is a deep brown colour. The interesting, sturdy structure with vertically stitched seat and back cushions gives it a unique character. An additional advantage is the ability to quickly unfold. Thanks to this function, the sofa easily transforms into a practical, full-size bed – ideal for small apartments, guest rooms, or as a versatile lounge piece.
The Brutalist style is not a compromise – it's a statement. This sofa was designed for spaces that celebrate bold accents and aren't afraid of bold solutions. The high-quality genuine leather develops a noble patina over time, making each piece unique and gaining its own story. This brutalist sofa is perfect for those seeking furniture that is both functional and makes an artistic statement. It will perfectly complement lofts, minimalist spaces, art galleries, and collectors' homes, emphasizing their individual character.
It's not just a piece of furniture – it's a piece of brutalist design that will add a unique character to any interior and attract attention for years to come.
The sofa is in original vintage condition. It shows slight signs of wear due to age and a natural patina. The seat height is 38 cm. When unfolded, the sofa measures 215 cm long and 154 cm wide.
