The lamp features a sleek, chromed metal frame that rises from a substantial, rectangular base of veined black marble. The contrast between the polished, reflective metal and the natural, weighty stone creates a beautiful juxtaposition of materials. The most unique and captivating element is the original hand-painted lampshade. All sides of the shade are adorned with a detailed landscape painting, likely a depiction of a field with trees, while the other three sides are a creamy off-white.
