The waxed finish gives … Read more A beautiful classic antique Edwardian circa 1900 English scrubbed / bleached pine chest of drawers dressers. The waxed finish gives the natural pale scrubbed pine a rich glow while the dark wood pulls add eye catching contrast as well as functionality. The five drawers offer ample storage. Old locks and brass keyholes are intact however there is no working key.
Originally, it appears, that this dresser was stained a dark reddish brown to mimic mahogany, which was the style of the day. At some point in its history the dresser was stripped and bleached. There are a few places, such as behind the knobs, that the reddish stain is still evident. This does not detract from the beauty of this piece, it just adds to the rustic charm.
