This is a lovely French soup tureen produced by FF (Fenal Frères) Pexonne called Campagne, countryside, from around the 1900s period. It is decorated in dark green transferware with little images of birds and farm animals: sheep, pig, and cows. It is a perfect fruit bowl for a farm house, especially charming for a working farm with cows and sheep.
It is a large serving bowl with a foot is made of ironstone, or terre de fer. They make great visual pieces in a farmhouse or cottage.
