This hand-woven oriental Zanjan rug was made during the 1960s. Traditionally flatwoven and dyed in shades of rustic red and ivory. The centerpiece is adorned with a large, geometric medallion that extends from top to bottom.
Zanjan or Zanjan Hamadan rugs are a type of traditional rug originating from the city of Zanjan, located in northwest, near the Hamadan region.
The rug is in original vintage condition. It has signs of wear due to age, fabric loss, abrasions and damage to the fleece.
