This antique Persian Sultanabad relies heavily on exquisite details as well as large-scale flowers, crisply drawn arabesque palmettes. Set on soft red with an orange hue, the background of this beautiful Sultanabad displays fine trellis of beautifully colored large and small flowers sprawls. The colors across the rich soft red field includes dark. blue, light blue, light aqua, soft yellow, butter, salmon, green and charcoal pulsating with alternating rhythms in contrasting colors. The main border of repeating geometric palmettes in Charcoal, dark blue and dark gray has multiple green tones, light blue, pink, red and ivory and imbue the rug with a beautiful articulation of pattern.
